The "PITCHERSVILLE" Shoe Shop

Whether we want it to be or not, we can’t deny that the holidays are around the corner and that means that people have to start buying gifts for their cherished ones. And whether you are someone who plans early and gets it sorted before December or one that waits until the last second, we have decided (for the first time) to be a part of the holiday cheer by creating a Christmas portal on The Pitchersville website in order to offer pre-packaged gifts for the shoe enthusiasts out there and also a pin point opportunity to pay back to loyal clients all year long.
We have four options of gifts, ranging from sandals sets to casual bespoke formal shoes, of various sizes and offerings, all coming with complimentary packaging. They are all on a holiday pricing scheme, offering you a discount on purchasing the gift set.

If you have a friend or family member that is into shoes but questionable trust for Nigerian shoes. The Pitchersville gift sets are ideal for that introductory welcome to the world of local shoe acquisition.
On another note, we have also created bundled pricing for our bespoke shoes creating the options of having 2 pairs all at a special interest rate 10% a pair, offering significant discounts in multiple pairs purchased (up to 20% in the case of 5 pairs or more).

A set of Modi’s bespoke slippers by Pitchersville goes with each old client orders… these are complementary slippers. Not paid for.
So… why not hurry… Make the best use of the set opportunity to walk gracefully with us this festive.
We are Pitchersville Bespoke Shoes… We care!

The Point Of View Of Patina Pattern Shoes by Mason&Smith

Patina is fast becoming the standard in footwear and it would appear that in 5 years time, everyone is going to be offering it in one form or another. One of the people who I think will become another “great” in the industry is John Chung of Mason & Smith, as you can see here from his lovely museum like patina given to these wholecuts. I am not quite sure if John is actually taking patina orders yet, but know that he is building his skills to soon do so. If you want to find out for yourself, you can always pop into his stand, located inside Kevin Seah’s shop at the Boat Quay. From what I see, here, his abilities look promising, but would like to see how an old shoe is fixed up first as that is where the true skills lay. Well done for this one though John! And for those of you in Nigeria, get ready for a patina extraordinaire to hit the industry.

Norman Vilalta's Heavenly Shoes

This has to be one of the coolest shoes that I have seen in a long time and it’s no wonder that is coming from my new good international mentor Norman Vilalta who is quickly taking the industry by storm. Having launch his RTW collection not too long ago in NYC at Leffot,

STEPS TO BEING A SHOE MAKER

Part 1:
I remember when I decided that I wanted to become a shoe designer and have a shoe brand that either had my name or a name that I created associated with it. I remember thinking, how the heck am I going to get there?  All I had known prior to that, was learning how to start a company after a quick degree course in Business Management and a bit of time in the retail shoe world with ST DAVIDS SHOES, neither of which would give me the real tools to start my own shoe line, only theoretical knowledge to help me once I did actually have a company. Therefore, I went straight to Google and typed in what you see as the title to this post: ‘How to become a shoe designer. ‘ I read hours and hours of articles and things of that nature that gave its best attempt at explaining how to do this, but none of it really clicked for me and made me think, ‘okay that is how you do it.’ I therefore decided to create my own 1 year plan, deciding that I would learn everything that I could, and that the pieces of the puzzle would just fall together as I went along.

BESPOKE SHOES THAT MADE US (SHOES I HAVE MADE)

In my quest to start my own shoe line and become one of the best export shoe brands in Nigeria, I ran a freestyle but valuable shoe orientation from one of the best shoemakers in Nigeria today, ST DAVIDS SHOES, For close to a year, i bread myself in the line of shoe pattern drawing, last coordination, fitting and shoe marketing. I did this because I wanted to be an owner of a shoe company who actually knew everything that there was to know about shoes, most importantly the construction and being able to justify why my shoes will cost what they do and also reach and be a part of a certain sphere in the major market. During that time I apprenticed, marketed and modeled for ST DAVIDS SHOES, and even still when I get some free time, I was able to make some shoes for myself that pretty much represent me and my style sense. Obviously some of them are relatively ostentatious, as you will see, but when it’s bespoke, the leather presents itself, and you are not afraid to try something crazy, this is what happens. I hope that you all enjoy the pictures.

"Diary of a young entrepreneur"

I feel very fortunate to bring you an interview with Mr Tyler Babatunde the creative Director of Pitchersville Bespoke Shoe Company run alongside his partner and co owner Diane Joseph. As at this time Diane was unavailable but Babatunde was kind enough to take some time out of his already extremely busy schedule to sit down for an interview.
A little bit about Babatunde… Babatunde is “the be all end all” of men’s shoes. He may be too humble to admit this, but he is the authority of the dress shoe world. There are many shoe designers that follow his blog; PITCHERSVILLE BESPOKE SHOES, and some of the changes they make from season to season are most likely due to the influence that Babatunde has. Babatunde’s eye for a great looking shoe is similar to Michelangelo’s eye for art.
His creations are amazing. I have a profound admiration for the shoes he creates. The colors, the styles, the shape, everything about these shoes is simply awesome. His shoes are Goodyear welted, made of very high quality leather, and are without question on the top of my wish list.
He’s just priced in attitude, hardwork and immense creativity. One Phrase a “TOTAL ROLE MODEL”

Us: Tell us a little bit about yourself, your background, and how you decided to create the outfit PITCHERSVILLE BESPOKE SHOES.

Babatunde: My name is Kassim Tyler Babatunde, I am 30 years old and I live in Lagos Nigeria. About 3years ago while at the University, I took up tailoring and was making cloths for my colleagues and all but not until about a year ago I decided that I wanted to start my own shoe line company primarily because I was deeply rooted in the live of shoes, the arts of entrepreneurship and also in order to encourage the patronage of Nigerian made products (for more on this biography please visit his blog and read up the whole set on how be started): here For the blog "The Pitchersville Bespoke Shoe Blog" became an integral part of the goal of having the Pitchersville brand in which I use it to be a voice to the men of the world in the hopes to educate them on shoes and secrets of the shoe industry.
